To my dear patients and friends:
I am writing this letter to share with you some news about my practice. I would like to thank you for your continued trust and confidence in allowing me the privilege to care for your dental needs throughout the years, and for the friendships we have formed along the way. You have made my professional career extremely rewarding and fun. Now, after 35 wonderful years the time has come for me to start transitioning to a new chapter in my life. It is with bittersweet excitement that I announce the sale of my practice.
In planning this transition, among my biggest priorities was finding the right person to take over the office and continue our legacy of delivering compassionate, conservative, and beautiful dental care. I therefore could not be more excited to introduce to you Dr. Elyssa Schlossberg. A Los Angeles native, Dr. Elyssa received her bachelor’s degree in Psychobiology from UCLA before completing her dental training at my alma mater, the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC.
In addition to her friendly and gentle nature, what distinguishes Dr. Elyssa the most is her dedication to clinical excellence and education. She regularly seeks out continuing education opportunities that keep her vast knowledge of dentistry ever expanding, is a part-time faculty member at USC’s dental school, and is on track to become a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry– a prestigious distinction earned by only 6% of dentists nationwide.
Most importantly, through getting to know Dr. Elyssa, I have learned that she and I share the same treatment philosophies. We both believe in the importance of providing the best oral health care– which starts with prevention– and in building meaningful patient relationships. I am confident that you will fall in love with her as your new dentist, and that you will continue to receive the highest quality of care.
Dr. Elyssa and I hope you experience a smooth transition. You will continue to see the same friendly staff that you have come to know, including our wonderful front office Heather, our fantastic dental assistants Ana and Mattia, and our amazing hygienists Belen and Laura. I will continue to provide TMJ care and will be available for TMJ consultations, so you may still see me around the office from time to time, as well!
We will gladly answer any questions and address any concerns you may have in the upcoming weeks. All appointments, both short term and long term remain unchanged. If you are overdue for a check-up and cleaning, be sure to call and schedule an appointment to meet Dr. Elyssa! She is looking forward to meeting all of you.
I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me over the years and the relationships we have forged. I hope you will join me in welcoming Dr. Elyssa to the office!
With warmest regards,
Dr. Virginia
